XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labor Relations Institute), Jamshedpur on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI).
XAT has always been a paper-pen examination till now but it will be a computer-based test consisting of both objective and subjective type questions this year for the first time and will be held on the first Sunday of January.

To crack the section of quantitative ability and data interpretation, practice is the only key. If Quant and Data Interpretation is among your strong areas, all you need to do is to practice but if you are weak in this section, you need to first clear your basics and select few important topics which you are confident about and then go ahead with them.

A separate paper and 20 minutes duration are given during the examination for the essay section. The essay should be of 200 to 300 words and it will be evaluated on the basis of language skills, thought process etc.
